JENNI DONOHOO is the heart and soul of our state's premier leadership development program for assistant principals (Moving UP.) For seven straight years she has collaborated with us to develop engaging, fun, evidence-based PD sessions that challenge leaders to first be learners and then supports them to practice and refine the skills and competencies of high impact leaders. She brings the research and deftly turns it into habits of mind that build individual, then collective efficacy in schools. She brings a rigorous, complex, lighthearted, personal and intentional instructional design to our shared work. In partnership with JENNI, we have been able to serve educators by not only helping grow their skill sets, but also in creating new opportunities for educators to lead across the state. The Teacher Leader Program with Jenni's help has tripled in size over the past five years, and the impact the Leadership Academy has had on academic student outcomes has grown with it. Combining research and theory with hands-on practice has been the key to growing the collective efficacy of Arkansas teachers.
